Amstel Gold Race 2026
The 60th edition of the Amstel Gold Race will be held on Sunday 19 April. With narrow roads, dozens of hills and constant twisting and turning the race opens a trilogy of three Ardennes Classics. Founded in 1966 the Amstel Gold Race is the only Classic in the Netherlands, while their neighbours in Belgium have plenty. The race adds up to 257.4 kilometres.

Last year’s edition was a thriller. Tadej Pogacar had been riding solo at the front for dozens of kilometres when Remco Evenepoel and Mattias Skjelmose caught him with 8 kilometres to go. The Dane narrowly outsprinted the world champion on the line, while Evenepoel had to settle for third place.
