The Gran Salida of edition 80 of the Vuelta a España takes place in August 2025. The Spanish Grand Tour sets off from the Palazzo di Venaria Reale in Turin. The subsequent three stages are also in the Italian region Piemonte before the race traverses the French Alps for a Grenoble finish. The 5th stage takes the riders back to Spanish soil, possibly an ITT around Figueres, Catalunya. (Slideshow route/profile)
La Vuelta then heads out into Andorra, according to rumours for a mountain top finish at the Port de Cabús or the unprecendented Collado de la Botella.
The end of the second week will see two mountain stages in Asturias, either on Friday and Saturday, or on Saturday and Sunday. The Angliru and La Farrapona have been mentioned as finish locations.
