Edition 64 of the Tour of the Basque Country – or, Itzulia Basque Country – leaves on Monday, 7 April to finish on Saturday the 12th. The contest in northern Spain is a feast for climbers and puncheurs, as the Basque Country is famous for its steep hills and mountains. The race to the Sanctuary of Arrate used to be a staple, but in 2023 and 2024 it was not included (Slideshow route/profile)
Juan Ayuso won last year’s edition, while Carlos Rodriguez and Mattias Skjelmose rounded out the final podium.
