Race report
Georgia Williams and Hannah Ludwig attacks early on to open up a lead 1.30 minutes. The two are caught in the run-up to the Côte des Plaines.
Julie Van de Velde is the first rider onver the Côte des Plaines and her team mate Yara Kastelijn reaches the Côte des Boissières in first position.
Kastelijn pushes on with Anouska Koster and Eva van Agt and the three open up a lead of 1 minute. Kastelijn moves into the polka dot jersey on the Côte de Merlhac. Meanwhile, it has started to rain.
On the wet roads Kastelijn misses a corner inside the last 9 kilometres and loses contact. Van Agt also hits the deck.
Niewiadoma attacks from the peloton on the Côte de Trébiac. Some twenty riders go with her and they gobble up the attackers.
It comes down to the 5.6% uphill in the last 500 metres. Vollering leads out Kopecky, but Lippert overhauls her and pips her for the win. The yellow jersey finishes in second to extend her lead on GC.
