Race report
Mireia Benito opens up a gap in the early phase of the race, which she carves out to 5 minutes at the Alto Fuente de Rubielos. Karlijn Swinkels reaches the summit in second position to secure two more days in the blue polka dots.

Grace Brown escapes from the peloton before the intremediate sprint and she takes a time bonus of 4 seconds. Leader Blanka Vas wins the peloton sprint to take the remanining 2 secods.

Benito is caught with 7 kilometres left to race.

Marianne Vos powers to victory in the ensuing sprint, winning a few bike lengths ahead of Charlotte Kool. Blanka Vas stays in red, 1 second ahead of the stage winner.
