Race report
Idoia Eraso, Angela Oro and Marine Allione open up a lead of 2.30 minutes, while Silvia Zanardi, Valerie Demey and Audrey de Keersmaeker rejoin them in a 20 kilometres chase. The six extend their lead to 3 minutes.
While stellar sprinter Charlotte Kool loses contact, the break is reeled in on the Puerto de l’Oronet.
Anneke Dijkstra strikes before the intermediate sprint to take the points before Blanka Vas wins the peloton sprint for the time bonus.
Several crashes occur on the slippery roads in the final. Jelena Eric sneaks away in the chaos, but she is caught just before. In the ensuing sprint, Alison Jackson powers to the win ahead of Blanka Vas. The young Hungarian moves into the overall race lead.
