Race report
Despite several attacks, the peloton is still together at kilometre 45. Then Jhonatan Narváez, Isaac del Toro, Xandro Meurisse, and Marco Frigo give it a go, while Victor Campenaerts and Harold Tejada manage to bridge across to them.
The six open up a gap of over 2 minutes before Visma | Lease a Bike takes control at the front of the peloton.
The gap is down to 1 minute as the leaders tackle the Puerto de Leitariegos. Frigo, Narváez and Tejada head out together.
Narváez is the last rider to be reeled in with 3 kilometres to climb. KOM leader Wout van Aert takes the mountain points at the summit.
Kaden Groves finishes off a perfect lead-out by Edward Planckaert, as he outsprints Wout van Aert. The GC remains unchanged with Ben O’Connor in the red jersey.
