Chris Froome won the 72nd Vuelta a España ahead of Vincenzo Nibali and Ilnur Zakarin. The Briton was in the lead since the third day of action, a mountain stage with finish in Andorra. Other crucial stages were: Cumbre del Sol, Calar Alto, Logroño (ITT), Los Machucos and Angliru.

Sunday, 20 August 2017 - At 203.4 kilometres, the route of stage 2 in the Vuelta a España leads from Nîmes to Gruissan. So that's yet another French affair. Chances are the race will come down to a bunch sprint as the route is extremely flat. Yet, strong winds are expected, so echelons could play a role, too.
