Vuelta 2016 Favourites stage 20: Last chance for GC guys

Final mountain stages in Grand Tours. You’ll never know what it will be. In the recent Tour de France it was just paper work, while last year’s Vuelta saw an impressive Astana coup dethroning Tom Dumoulin and catapulting Fabio Aru into the red jersey at the eleventh hour. However, Quintana seems to be in control, albeit he lost 2 minutes to Froome in the ITT. But will he still be when Contador and Froome join forces, like the Colombian himself and El Pistolero did in stage 15?

Anyway, the route of the 20th stage in the Vuelta a España is set to detonate the fireworks. Via Col de Rates, Alto de Ebo, Alto de Tollos and Puerto de Tudons the riders stumble upon the closing climb. Alto de Aitana is a 21.2 kilometres monster at 5.9%.
