Vuelta 2014: Malori takes rainy ITT, Contador winner 2014 Vuelta

Adriano MaloriSunday, August 14 - La Vuelta closes with a time trial in 9.7 kilometres in Santiago de Compostela. The first 100 riders race on a dry route, the rest is at a disadvantage when the heavens open. Italian Champion Adriano Malori is fastest, whilst Alberto Contador is the best in La Vuelta 2014 (Slideshow route/profile)

Adriano Malori is the fastest in the dry period. It looks like Rohan Dennis is going to beat him with the best time at the intermediate checkpoint, but then the heavens open and the young Aussie can forget about the stage win.

The GC men all start in rainy conditions and they are cautious.
