After three days it’s back to the fast men again. In the final 70 kilometres the route is either flat or going slightly down. Will the pure and thunderous speed of Nacer Bouhanni bring him glory? He is already a one time victor in Spain, whilst John Degenkolb glorified twice.

Interesting young sprinters are Hofland and Stuyven, both 22 years of age and finishing third and fourth in stage 5, right behind Degenkolb and Bouhanni.
