The 1st stage of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana travels from Oropesa del Mar to Peñíscola. Chances are the race will come down to a bunch sprint.
Stage 2 is a demanding task in the medium mountains. The route takes in five intermediate climbs, while the finish line lies approximately 30 kilometres after the last peak.
At 23.3 kilometres, the 3rd stage of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana is a team time trial to Calpe. Undulating roads and twisty sections mark the course.
The 4th stage is the Queen Stage in the 2018 edition. At 184.2 kilometres, the course runs over six intermediate climbs to the final toil up El Alto de las Canteras, a 5 kilometres climb at 7.8% with the ultimate kilometre a whopping 12.3%.
The last stage of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana is supposed to bring a fast finishers showdown in the streets of Valencia.
