Koersverloop
Mark Stewart vormt de vlucht van de dag dit keer met Harm Vanhoucke. De twee rijden naar een voorsprong van ruim 4 minuten voor het peloton ze aan de lijn legt.

Stewart vindt het mooi geweest

Lennert Van Eetvelt, Harm Vanhoucke and Jacopo Mosca are the breakaway riders. The trio opens up a 4 minutes lead.

Van Eetvelt takes a maximum time bonus of 6 seconds before he and his team mate Vanhoucke sit up and wait for the peloton, while Mosca is reeled in 30 kilometres later.

The race boils down to a close finish. On the opposite sides of the road it’s Kooij on one hand and Merlier and Welsford on the other. The young Dutchman wins just a few millimetres ahead of Merlier, while Welsford comes home in third place.

Vine stays in the lead of the general classification.
