Dubai City Walk is a huge shopping mall at the intersection of Al Wasl and Al Safa Road. The place saw the first peloton sprint in 2017 with Marcel Kittel powering to victory in the Dubai Tour. Elia Viviani succeeded the now retired German in 2018, while Sam Bennett outgunned Fernando Gaviria and Viviani in last year’s inaugural edition of the UAE Tour.
No doubt. The 2020 winner at the Dubai City Walk will once again be a fast finisher. The route in Dubai is as flat as can be.
The first pure sprint on this UAE Tour was won by Pascal Ackermann.
The first three riders on the line gain time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while two intermediate sprints – at kilometre 38.6 and at kilometre 131.7 – come with 3, 2 and 1 seconds.
