Tour of Valencia 2025: The Route

The 1st stage is a 34.5-kilometre team time trial with start and finish in Orihuela.

Stage 2 takes in two mountain passes along the way, Col de Rates and Alto de Benimantell, before concluding at the unprecedented Font de Partegat. It’s a brutal ascent of 4.3 kilometres with an average gradient of 9.4%, ramping up to 15.6% near the summit.

The riders enter the province of Valencia and visit some of the areas affected by last autumn’s DANA disaster in the 3rd stage. After two warm-up climbs, the Pico del Remedio will be crucial. It’s a 7.8-kilometre ascent with an average gradient of 6.9% and a steepest ramp of 13.1%, that’s crested 20 kilometers from the finish line. The final section is rolling until a punchy finish in Alpuente.

Featuring four climbs, the 4th stage is rather mountainous in the first part, before the last 70 kilometres transition to flat and rolling terrain.

Stage 5 of the Tour of Valencia serves up the traditional finale in Valencia. The route is flat, so an outcome like in the last two editions – a successful breakaway (Rui Costa) or a long-range solo attack (Will Barta) – is not expected this time.
