Ion Izagirre won the 59th edition of the Tour of the Basque Country ahead of Dan Martin and Emanuel Buchmann. The race started on Monday 8 April 2019 to finish on Saturday the 13th. (Slideshow route/profile)

Tour of the Basque Country 2019: Adam Yates wins final stage, Ion Izagirre takes GC

The final stage of the Tour of the Basque Country serves six mountains in 118 kilometres. Adam Yates wins the race with a late attack, while Ion Izagirre takes the overall.

Maximilian Schachmann won the 4th stage of the Tour of the Basque Country ahead of Pogacar, Fuglsang and Adam Yates. They escaped on the last climb before the leader extended his lead in the four-up sprint.
