Race report
A group of fifteen riders forms the breakaway early on, with Koen Bouwman, Lennard Kämna, Paul Seixas, Finlay Pickering, Lucas Eriksson, Nicolas Prodhomme and Jakob Fuglsang among the stand-out names. The attackers open up a 4-minute lead.

On the Bannberg, with 34 kilometres remaining, Michael Storer launches an attack on Thymen Arensman. The Australian distances the overall race leader and crests the summit with a 20-second advantage.

In the valley, Eriksson waits for his teammate Storer and leads him to the base of the Stronach ascent.

Seixas distances his companions in the lead group in the final 2 kilometres of the last climb of the day. A kilometre later, he sees his teammate Prodhomme appear alongside him. They ride together to the finish, where Prodhomme takes the victory.

Meanwhile, Storer steadily marches towards the overall win. Arensman eases off a bit in the final phase, but that doesn’t threaten his second place overall, while Derek Gee rounds out the final podium.
