Tour of the Alps 2025Monday, 21 April – The Tour of the Alps kicks off with a 143-kilometre stage featuring 2,600 metres of elevation gain. The finish is set on a 2-kilometre climb with an average gradient of just over 6%.

Following an undulating opening, the riders reach the foot of the Campo Carlo Magno just before the halfway mark. It’s a steady 14.5-kilometre climb with an average gradient of 6.9%, followed by a 35-kilometre downhill leading to the next ascent, the Passo del Durone. This one is 6.3 kilometres long and averaging 8%. At the summit, 19 kilometres remain.

The first half of this stretch is a descent, after which the road rises for 2.9 kilometres at 6.2%. The gradient flattens briefly before the finale presents a 2-kilometre climb at just over 6%, including sections at 8%.

The first three riders on the line gain time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while the intermediate sprints come with 3, 2 and 1 seconds.
