Race report
De Marchi, Dina and Engelhardt are the fist attackers on the Tour of the Alps. The three carve out a lead of 5 minutes before De Marchi takes most KOM points at the Brenner Pass.
De Marchi goes solo on the first climb of the Innsbruck circuit. He cements his KOM lead at the top.
The peloton regroups just after the top of the last climb of the day before Bilbao, Jansen, Umba and Savini open up a gap in the descent. The four are brought back with 4 kilometres to go and Moscon counter attacks straight away.
Idar Andersen tracks the Italian down in the last kilometre. The two push on together and Moscon wins the sprint ahead of the chasing peloton. Andersen finishes in second, although Riabushenko comes close.
