The circuit is a motor racing track situated just outside Lusail, a city in progress north of capital Doha. Construction is still ongoing, eventually Lusail should be home to 250.000 people. The opening match and final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup are scheduled to take place in the new Lusail Iconic Stadium.
The Lusail International Circuit opened in 2004 and hosts the Moto GP Qatar every near. In addition the 2006 Grand Prix of Qatar was held here, a race won by Nigel Mansell.
In the 2012 edition Garmin was the fastest in the team time trial Lusail – Lusail.
The first rider starts at 11:40 (CET) and the last one around 14:15.
