Tour of Flanders 2016 - women

Tour of Flanders 2014Edition 13 of the Tour of Flanders for women was won by Elizabeth Armitstead after besting Emma Johansson in a sprint-a-deux. The duo attacked at the penultimate climb, Oude Kwaremont. The race totalled 141 kilometres and featured 10 hills. Chantal Blaak won the sprint of a chasing group, thus completing the podium. Tour of Flanders 2016 - women: Armitstead bests Johansson in sprint-a-deux

At 141 kilometres, edition 13 of the women's Tour of Flanders contains 10 hills. Right after cresting the penutimate climb, Oude Kwaremont, Emma Johansson and Elizabeth Armitstead attack. The chasers come close, but not close enough, and the World Champion outsprints her fellow escapee by a tiny margin. Chantal Blaak outsprints the other chasers.

Tour of Flanders 2016 for women
Sunday, April 3, 2016 – At 141 kilometres, edition 13 of the women's Tour of Flanders features 10 hills and 6 cobbled sectors. The finale is the same as in the men's race, meaning a series of steep hills that's to be concluded with Paterberg, boasting a maximum grade at over 20%. At the top the women have 13.3 kilometres left to race.
