Tour Down Under 2025 Route stage 6: Adelaide - Adelaide

Tour Down Under 2025Sunday 26 January - The town of Adelaide hosts the ultimate stage on the 2025 Tour Down Under. At 90 kilometres, the race is made up of twenty identical laps of 4.5 kilometres with a total elevation gain of 768 metres.

If the GC is not a foregone matter, the race could be extra thrilling thanks to the time bonuses. But if it is, it’s merely a case of avoiding crashes before the sprinters duke it out on the slightly downhill finish.

Start and finish of the last stage are on King William Street, while Montefiore Hill is the only elevation on the course. Not much though, the average gradient of the 560 metres ascent is 4%.

It’s been six years since the Tour Dow Under last concluded with an Adelaide criterium. André Greipel (2013, 2014, 2018), Wouter Wippert (2015), Caleb Ewan (2016, 2017) claimed victories in last six editions before that. So, it’s a safe bet to expect a bunch sprint.

The first three riders on the line gain time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while two intermediate sprints come with 3, 2 and 1 seconds.

The final stage of the Tour Down Under starts at 13:30 and the race is expected to finish around 15:30 – both are local times.
