Tour Down Under 2025 Route stage 3: Norwood - Uraidla

It’s the third time ever that the Tour Down Under finishes in Uraidla. Peter Sagan took the spoils on the first two occasions, in 2018 and 2019.

The riders climb from the start and cross the first KOM in the Ashton Hills after 10 kilometres. The average gradient of this opening section sits at 4%. The route then continues on a lumpy lap of almost 100 kilometres.

The riders tackle Knotts Hill – 2.6-kilometre at 8% – just before entering the shorter finishing circuit. The route does not descend after the KOM sprint, but continues to rise false flat until the first summit of the day is reached again. In doing so, the race is also back on familiar terrain.

But only for a short while, as the route veers left and the riders move through the finish line for the first time. They then descend for 6 kilometres before returning onto the loop they’ve seen before. This means Knotts Hill makes a final appearance in the finale. The 2.6-kilometre at 8% peaks out at 13.4%, while the route continues to rise false flat for 2 kilometres before the riders fly down a 3.4 kilometres run-in to the finish line on Green Hill Road in Uraidla.

The first three riders on the line gain time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while two intermediate sprints come with 3, 2 and 1 seconds.

The 3rd stage of the Tour Down Under starts at 11:10 and the race is expected to finish around 15:30 – both are local times.
