Tour Down Under 2024 Route stage 4: Murray Bridge - Port Elliot

Tour Down Under 2024 stage 4Friday 19 January - The 136.2 kilometres long race from Murray Bridge to Port Elliot takes in an elevation gain of 1,055 metres. The 4th stage of the Tour Down Under is expected to come down to an uphill sprint finish towards the ocean on The Strand.

The race kicks into gear when the peloton crosses the Murray. The route follows the river to Wellington and then turns west. Just after Strathalbyn the only climb of the day appears. Gemmell Hill is 4.1 kilometres long and averaging almost 4%.

The route gradually descends towards Goolwa near the Murray Mouth. A bunch sprint is likely to happen 10 kilometres later on the slightly uphill home straight in Port Elliot. The Tour Down Under never finished before in the seaside town.
