Race report
The breakaway – Stefan Küng, Matej Mohoric and Fabien Grellier – carves out a gap of 3 minutes before BOHRA-hansgrohe takes the reins. Obviously because Küng is the best ranked attacker on GC, 25 seconds behind their leader Peter Sagan.
On the long climb to Sattel Mohoroc leaves his companions behind, but he is brought back in the predominantly flat final circuit.
Following another fantastic lead-out by the Deceuninck-train Elia Viviani outperforms his competitors. Leader Peter Sagan is the best of the rest with Jasper Stuyven a clear-cut gap behind.
