Race report
A lot of movement from the start, but it takes more than 20 kilometres for the breakaway to form. Then Gleb Brussenskiy, Julien Bernard and Tom Bohli join forces to open up lead of 5 minutes.
The breakaway is history with 30 kilometres remaining.
Woods accelerates in the Communal climb. Gloag and Jorgenson follow him like a shadow, while Yates brings back the favourites just before the summit.
Several attacks follow in the last kilometres, but they are all shut down. Ethan Hayter powers to victory in the ensuing bunch sprint. He also moves into the leader’s jersey.
