The route is a exact copy of last year’s time trial. Riders head for Wieliczka, a town south of Krakow, known for its salt mines. After a U-turn the route goes back to Krakow on the same roads. In the town itself a few sharp turns address attention, but otherwise the ITT is a matter of pushing hard.
In 2014 Kristof Vandewalle won the time trial, besting Adriano Malori and Stephen Cummings. Majka’s overall victory was not endangered.
After Warsaw, Krakow is the biggest city of Poland, while it is by far the most beautiful thanks to the fact Krakow is one of the few Polish cities that was not bombed during World War 2. Definitely worth a break.
The first rider starts at 15:55(CET) and the last rider at 17:57.
