Tour de France Femmes 2025 Route stage 2: Brest - Quimper

Tour de France Femmes 2025Sunday, 27 July – The 2nd stage of the Tour de France Femmes covers 110 kilometres between Brest and Quimper. It's a hilly route with 1,800 metres of elevation gain. The final kilometer rises at 7.5% in the first part before flattening out.

The first part of the route is flat to slighltly undulating. Then, after around 50 kilometres, the Menez Quelerc’h serves up 3 kilometres of climbing at 6.2%. The race continues as before until the Côte de Locronan rises for 800 metres at 8.9%. The top of the climb still leaves over 40 kilometers to ride.

A few kilometres after the Locronan climb, the riders enter the final circuit, and moments later, they face the Côte du Chemin de Trohéir. The 1.1-kilometre climb at 5.7% gradient is situated close to the finish line, so it will be crucial in the finale.

A little over 4 kilometres after the Côte du Chemin de Trohéir, the riders cross the line for the first time. Riders with the ambition to fight for the stage win, should take a mental note of the final kilometre. First, the road rises for 500 metres at 7.5%, and then it flattens out.

Following the finish passage, the riders descend to a 700-metre slog at 8.1%. Then the route rolls gently upwards, followed by a slight downhill section before facing the Côte du Chemin de Trohéir again. Obviously, it’s still the same 1.1-kilometre climb at 5.7%.

The road then drops again, and with just 2 kilometers to go, the asphalt starts to rises at shallow gradients. Just after the flamme rouge, the road ramps up – 500 metres at 7.5% – before the final few hundred metres are flat.

Back in 2018, the men’s Tour de France finished on the same spot, with Peter Sagan taking the win ahead of Sonny Colbrelli and Philippe Gilbert.
