Race report
Magnus Cort attacks from the gun before Pierre Rolland, Sven Erik Bystrøm and Cyril Barthe bridge across. The four open up a 2 minutes gap in no-time, but then it stabilizes.

After the first KOM sprint Bystrøm and Cort push on together. They extend their lead to 3 minutes, while Cort pockets all available KOM points of the day.

Bystrøm leaves his companion behind in the last 60 kilometres. His solo ends 32 kilometres before the finish.

Pedersen opens the sprint early. Van Aert overhauls the Dane before Jakobsen comes across in the dying metres of the race.

Van Aert takes a time bonus of 6 seconds, which is enough for the yellow jersey.
