The race started on Friday 1 July 2022 in Copenhagen, Denmark, while the Dane Jonas Vingegaard won the GC and polka dot jersey. Tadej Pogacar turned out on top in the young riders classifaction and Wout van Aert in the points classification. Fourty riders did not reach the finish in Paris.
