Race report
Stefan Küng and Michael Schär attack from the gun. The duo races to a lead of almost 2 minutes before the peloton takes the reins.

The two are brought back with 100 kilometres remaining. Since then the peloton remains bunched.

The peloton splits after a crash with 17 kilometes remaining. Superman López and Valverde are behind the split, but they regain contact.

Bennett promotes a perfect lead-out by Mørkøv to a victory in the ensuing bunch sprint. Ewan finishes in second, Sagan in third. The Irishman moves into the lead of the points classification.

Roglic keeps in the maillot jaune.
