Race report
Once the flag is dropped, Guillaume Van Keirsbulck attacks with Dimitri Claeys, Jérôme Cousin and Anthony Perez on his wheel. The four race to a lead of almost 8 minutes.

A crash shakes up the peloton with 5 kms remaining. Rigoberto Uran and Ilnur Zakarin are forced to chase.

Just before the flamme rouge the attackers are brought back and in the ensuing sprint André Greipel strikes out early. Fernando Gaviria overhauls him with Peter Sagan close behind, thus claiming his second victory in this year’s Tour de France.

Greg Van Avermaet keeps the yellow jersey, while Uran manages to close the gap, but Zakarin loses 59 seconds.

Tomorrow is a demanding hilly race with a trying uphill finale.
