The second part of the race in particular is rather bumpy. After a pan-flat opening the first uphill is the climb to Roncolla, which appears after almost 90 kilometres. The route continues until the first KOM appears. The Poggio alla Croce is a 6 kilometres climb at 5%.
The finale is a 26.6 kilometres circuit around Chiusdino. The ascent into the village is 7 kilometres long and slopes at shallow gradients – mostly hovering between 3 and 4%, although the last kilometre kicks up to 5.4%.
The first three riders on the line gain time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while the intermediate sprint – situated 14 kilometres before the finish – comes with 3, 2 and 1 seconds.
