Tirreno-Adriatico 2016: Stage 5 cancelled due to snow

The Queen Stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico is cancellede due to heavy snowfall. Both the closing climb up to Monte San Vicino and mid-stage climbs are impassable. Four of the five peaks that were scheduled are lying at an elevation of over 1'100 metres. (Slideshow route/profile)

Too bad for the GC guys who were planning to make a difference in the tough mountain stage. Now it boils down to the ITT on tuesday.

Leader Zdenek Stybar enjoys a small advantage over specialists as Tejay van Garderen (at 0’09”) and Bob Jungels (at 0’11”).
