Race report
Jordan Labrosse and Pierre Latour establish the breakaway. They are soon joined by Paul Double, Milan Lanhove, and David Delgado, and later, another sixteen riders bridge across, including Enric Mas, Axel Laurence, and Omar Fraile. The attackers open up a 3-minute gap.

After the mountainous start, the gap drops below a minute, but the peloton doesn’t press on, and the difference grows to one and a half minutes.

In the final 20 kilometres, Johannes Staune-Mittet, Jon Barrenetxea, Thomas Gachignard, Giovanni Carboni, Tobias Halland Johannessen, and Iker Mintegi jump clear to push on with six. A crash halves the group, and so Staune-Mittet, Halland Johannessen, and Barrenetxea battle it out for the stage win.

Staune-Mittet powers through the final kilometre, effectively acting as a lead-out for the other two. Barrenetxea takes the win, partly because Halland Johannessen throws in the towel after feeling he was hindered.

Pavel Sivakov finishes well over half a minute later in the peloton and secures the overall victory.
