Renewi Tour 2024: The Route

Renewi Tour 202The 2024 Renewi Tour started on Wednesday 28 August and finished the following Sunday with the race's take on the Tour of Flanders. The other stage were flat to undulating, while an individual time trial rounded out the route.

Stage 1 is a lumpy race which could easily turn into a fast finishers’ showdown. The riders tackle eight hills, but the last one, Côte Sur les Coteaux, 1.7 kilometres at 4.1%, is crested with still 27.5 kilometres left to race.

Stage 2 is an individual time trial, 15.4 kilometres long, and gently rolling.

Stage 3 goes from Blankenberge to Ardooie. It’s a classic stage in the Renewi Tour and it’s countless predecessors. Last year, Philipsen sprinted to glory in Ardooie.

Stage 4 is another pan-flat endeavour, so sprinters are expected to shine after several runs on the final circuit around Aalter.

The final stage is another mainstay. The riders tackle twenty climbs, some of them cobbled, all of them loaded with Tour of Flanders DNA. The finish is halfway up the Muur van Geraardsbergen, on the Vesten, which means 500 metres of cobbled climbing at 6%.
