Race report
Victoire Joncheray jumps off the front at kilometre 15 to open up a lead of 2 minutes. She is caught after one one hour of action at kilometre 36.
Lotte Kopecky accelerates on sector 12. Only Pfeiffer Georgi, Marianne Vos and Christina Schweinberger follow her move. The four are caught on the subsequent sector, Mons-en-Pévèle.
On the short sector Templeuve (Moulin-de-Vertain) it is Jade Wiel who goes on the attack. She pushes her lead to 30 seconds before she is caught on sector 6. Amber Kraak and Ellen van Dijk go on the counter-attack.
Lotte Kopecky, Marianne Vos and Elisa Balsamo track the two down on Camphin-en-Pévèle. Balsamo can’t follow the pace on Carrefour de l’Arbre and she is joined by Pfeiffer Georgi. The two leave the sector 8 seconds behind the leaders.
Georgi and Balsamo bridge the gap with 11 kilometres to go and the leaders enter the Roubaix Velodrome with six. Lotte Kopecky opesn her sprint late, but some pushing hard through the outside lane wins ahead of Elisa Balsamo and Pfeiffer Georgi.
