Race report
Gaia Masetti, Leonie Bos, Amalie Lutro and Katie Clouse jump clear in the fist local lap, while Tanja Erath makes it across in the second. The battle for the breakaway keeps raging for awhile, but no rider is able to join them.
The five leave the local circuit in Dedain with a lead of almost 2 minutes before Erath is the last attacker to be reeled in with 61 kilometres to go.
Lotte Kopecky accelerates on the scetor between Auchy and Bersée and Marta Bastianelli goes with her, while Lucinda Brand tracks them down. The trio leaves the next sector, Mons-en-Pévèle, 21 seconds ahead of the main group.
On the second Templeuve sector a regroupment happens. Then Elisa Longo Borghini attacks and she enters the sector from Cysoing to Bourghelles 26 seconds ahead of the main group. Chantal van den Broek-Blaak halves the lead on the pavé.
The gap bounces back to 30 seconds and remains more or less the same. So Longo Borghini crowns a 30 kilometres attack with the cobblestone trophy.
Lotte Kopecky outguns Lucinda Brand for second place in the group sprint.
