Race report
Spela Kern and Titia Ryo are the first attackers on the Côte de Saint-Roch, but they are reeled in again. Sarah Gigante strikes after the first ascent of the day to open up a 3 minutes lead.
Stina Kagevi goes after the lone attacker before she is accompanied by Sara Martín and Kim Cadzow. Those two push on together before the are overhauled by Mischa Bredewold, Lucinda Brand, Eva Van Agt, Elise Chabbey, Mikayla Harvey, Grace Brown and Flora Perkins.
Cadzow manages to cling on before they catch the lone attacker. The nine put 3 minutes into the peloton.
The lead group is down to Cadzow, Brown and Chabbey on La Redoute. They reach the foot of the Côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons 1 minute ahead of the main group.
Elisa Longo Borghini strikes on the steep slopes – Demi Vollering and Kasia Niewiadoma follow her move, and the three reach the summit 35 seconds behind the leaders.
Vollering, Longo Borghini and Niewiadoma make the catch with 9.2 kilometres remaining.
Brown misses a corner in the finale, but closes down the gap with Cadzow. Niewiadoma strikes inside the last kilometre and Longo Borghini closes down the gap. She uses the La Flèche Wallonne winner as lead-out and opens the sprint. Brown overhauls her in the dying metres, while Vollering finishes in third.
