Race report
Attacks are flying from the start, but it takes some 10 kms for a breakaway to get clear. Mark Christian, Loïc Vliegen, Jérôme Baugnies, Antoine Warnier, Mathias Van Gompel, Anthony Perez, Paul Ourselin, Florian Vachon and Casper Pedersen race to a lead of 6 minutes.

On La Redoute the lead has fallen to 2 minutes and Baugnies heads out alone. Just before Côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons he is reeled in. Philippe Gilbert strikes on the climb and Sergio Henao counter-attacks. Bob Jungels brings it all back together before he heads out alone after the top.

Hitting Côte de Saint-Nicolas, Jungels is 51 seconds adrift. Jelle Vanendert goes after him and the lead is halved at the summit. Romain Bardet and Michael Woods are next in line.

Jungels is 30 seconds ahead of Vanendert on the last uphill stretch of 1.5 kms. Which is enough slack for the biggest win in his career. The two chasers gobble up Vanendert before Woods outsprints Bardet.
