Race report
Peloton still bunched after 20 kilometres of hard racing. Then Maurits Lammertink, Julian Mertens, Sander Armée, Alex Howes and Sylvain Moniquet try their luck. Louis Vervaeke, Diego Rosa and Simone Velasco bridge across and the eight carve out a lead of almost 6 minutes.

Vervaeke, Armée, Moniquet and Lammertink are the remaining attackers in the last lap.

Lammertink heads out alone on the Chemin des Gueuses climb and he is caught just before the finish climb.

Roglic accelerates with 300 metres to go. He opens up a gap before Alaphilippe makes it back to his wheel. The World Champion overhauls the Slovene on the false flat in the last 100 metres. He takes the win, while record holder Valverde takes third place.
