The 2016 Giro Rosa was won Megan Guarnier, while Evelyn Stevens and Anna van der Breggen were the other two riders on the podium. Stevens took three stage wins and Bronzini two. (Slideshow route/profile)

The closing stage of the Giro Rosa is played out near the Laggo Maggiore on a hilly circuit. In the finale Thalita de Jong attacks from the break of the day to solo to victory, while Megan Guarnier's GC-win is not endangered.

Giro Rosa 2016 Stage 7: Stevens powers to win in ITT, Guarnier still in pink

At 21.9 kilometres, stage 7 is a hilly individual time trial. Evelyn Stevens powers to her third win in the 2016 Giro Rosa, besting Anna van der Breggen and Elisa Longo Borghini by 4 seconds. Maglia rosa Megan Garnier holds on to her jersey by finishing in fourth.

Giro Rosa 2016 Stage 6: Evelyn Stevens wins tough mountain stage ahead of new leader Guarnier

In stage 6 of the Giro Rosa the women crest three peaks before a tough summit finish at Madonna della Guardia after a 7.4 kilometres closing climb at 7.7%. It's there Evelyn Stevens attacks in a group with GC-favourites to solo to victory. Megan Guarnier finishes in second and takes the maglia rosa.

Giro Rosa 2016 Stage 5: Mara Abbott soloes to pink victory over the Mortirolo

Stage 5 in the Giro Rosa is marked by the Mortirolo. 10 kilometres up the climb Mara Abbott goes solo and she crests the top 2 minutes ahead of Emma Pooley, while a group maglia rosa Evelyn Stevens is 3'40" down. Abbott powers on to take one of the most impressive victories in her career. As a bonus she will wear the pink jersey tomorrow.
