Race report
Simon Pellaud, Mark Christian and Umberto Marengo attack from the gun to open up a gap of more than 5 minutes before the peloton takes the reins. The three are reeled in with 17 kilometres remaining.
Albanese strikes on the 200 metres climb at 12% in Termoli, but Oss tracks him down to neutralise the attack. Then Gaviria opens the sprint suprisingly early. Ewan jumps to his wheel and uses the Colombian as a launch pad to power to his second victory.
Cimolai and Merlier complete the top three, while Valter retains the maglia rosa.
