Giro 2020 Route stage 21: Cernusco di Naviglio – Milan
Sunday 25 October - The final stage on the Giro d'Italia is a flat ITT between Cernusco di Naviglio and Milan. The route amounts to 16.5 kilometres.
An individual time trial to the centre of Milan crowns the winner of the 2020 Giro d’Italia. The last time that the race finished in the capital of Lombardy was 2017, when Tom Dumoulin won the final maglia rosa by finishing second in a flat ITT of 29.3 kilometres. His compatriot Jos van Emden took the day honours.
Last year’s Giro finished with an individual time trial also. Chad Haga took the spoils, while Richard Carapaz sealed the overall victory on a lumpy route in and around Verona.
The route into Milan is as flat as can be. The intermediate time check is situated at kilometre 10.3.
Maglia rosa Jai Hindley is expected to finish around 16.30 local time (CEST).
