Koersverloop
Britt de Grave, Beatrice Caudera and Katia Ragusa breaks away early in the race, while Franziska Brauße, Maaike Boogaard, Mia Griffin, and Cleo Kiekens bridge across in a 15-kilometre chase, forming a lead group of seven. They open up a lead of more than 4 minutes before being caught ahead of the hills.
Lotte Kopecky, Anneke Dijkstra, Margot Vanpachtenbeke, Lorena Wiebes, Mischa Bredewold, Anna Henderson, Elise Chabbey, Letizia Borghesi, Elisa Balsamo, and Lucinda Brand open up a gap on the Kemmelberg, but the break doesn’t last long.
In the run-up to the Baneberg, Brand attacks again. Bredewold and Dijkstra follow her move again, while Alexandra Manly, Marta Jaskuska, and Jeane Koreaar are also involved.
The group comes back together, and then it’s time for the Kemmelberg for the last time. Once at the top, Lotte Kopecky, Lorena Wiebes, Elisa Longo Borghini, and Elise Chabbey are the first four riders in the race. Chabbey loses contact, while Letizia Borghesi and Chloé Dygert move to the front.
A group featuring Elisa Balsamo and Charlotte Kool overhaul the five with 26 kilometres to go. The pace then drops and many more riders are able to rejoin.
In Wevelgem, Lorena Wiebes finishes off a long lead-out by Lotte Kopecky.
