Race report
Pien Limpens attacks after 10 kilometres and solos to a 2 minutes lead before she is caught as the peloton hits De Moeren. A solo attack by Malin Eriksen is shorter-lived.
Reusser strikes with 40 kilometres to go. She reaches the summit of the last climb of the day 1 minute ahead of the main group and she moves through Ypres with a lead of more than 2 minutes.
Bossuyt, Georgi, Henderson, Majerus, Bujak, Barker and Van Anrooij attack from the chase group with 14 kilometres to go. But without coming closer to the Swiss powerhouse. On the contrary. They are being chased down by the peloton in the last kilometre.
Reusser wins Gent-Wevelgem for women ahead of Lastrab and Van der Duijn.
