Wout van Aert is active from the start and he spends the entire day on the attack. After strengthening his lead in the points classification at the intermediate sprint, he charges ahead, with only Quentin Pacher able to latch on. In the sprint, Van Aert is by far the fastest of the two. The GC remains unchanged, with Ben O'Connor leading La Vuelta.

Vuelta 2024 Route stage 10: Ponteareas – Baiona

Tuesday 27 August - The 10th stage of the Vuelta a España commences in Ponteareas to reach its climax in Baiona. The last climb is the Monte da Groba before the riders fly down to the line. The 159.6 kilometres long race travels through the rolling hills of white wines Vallhalla Rías Baixas.
