The 20th stage of La Vuelta brings the final mountaintop finish. Before tackling the Angliru the riders face the Cobertoria and the Cordal, which leads to a mesmerizing finale. Alberto Contador climbs to victory ahead of Wout Poels and Chris Froome, who wins the Spanish Grand Tour for the first time in his career. El Pistolero bids goodbye to the mountains with a great salute.

Saturday, 9 september 2017 - At 117.5 kilometres, the 20th stage of the Vuelta a España is bound to bring spectacle. The route takes in three sharp climbs in the last 50 kilometres. Summit finish on the Angliru after a 12.5 kilometres ascent with an average gradient of 9.8%.
