Tour of the Basque Country 2017: Primoz Rogliz takes time trial, Alejandro Valverde wins GC

The last challenge of the Tour of the Basque Counry is a 27.7 kilometres ITT with a nasty climb. Primoz Roglic powers to his second stage win in the Basque Country, while Alejandro Valverde pockets the overall victory.

Tour of the Basque Country 2017: Valverde claims victory at Arrate to take overall lead

At 139.8 kilometres, the route of the 5th stage in the Tour of the Basque Country takes in six climbs. The steep closing climb up to the iconic Sanctuary of Arrate is the tonic to ignite the race. Valverde wins the sprint of a select group to claim the leaders jersey.

Tour of the Basque Country 2017: Solo victory Primoz Roglic, De la Cruz retains lead

Stage 4 in the Tour of the Basque Country takes in two steep ascents. The last one, Vivero, reduces the peloton with only a drop to Bilbao left. Primoz Roglic jumps clear with 3 kilometres to go and the former ski jumper soloes to victory. De la Cruz is still in the lead, albeit with the tiniest of margins.
