Tour de France 2016 Stage 17: Zakarin solos to impressive victory, Froome cements lead

In stage 17 of the Tour de France the riders face four climbs, while the toughest are at the end of the race with one 1st category and one horse category climb in the last 35 kilometres. Ilnur Zakarin goes solo on the last climb to power to victory. Jarlinson Pantano finishes in second, KOM-leader Majka in third. Chris Froome puts time into his rivals, thus cementing his overall lead.

Wednesday, July 20, 2016 – Stage 17 of the Tour de France is a Swiss affair. In between Bern and the arrival in Finhaut-Emosson are 184.5 kilometres. With two tough climbs in the last 35 kilometres, the finale is something to look foward to in awe.

In stage 17 of the Tour de France it's all about the last 31 kilometres. Basically this is a two stage ascent, leading from an elevation of 500 metres to 2,000 metres with a 7 kilometres drop halfway. With two more mountain stages and and uphill ITT left, we can expect the GC guys to roar.
